Varanasi District court orders Joint hearing for all 7 Gyanvapi cases

In a significant development, the Varanasi District Court has ruled that all seven cases related to the Gyanvapi dispute will be heard collectively. The decision comes after the court reserved its verdict following the hearing. The Hindu side had filed a petition requesting the consolidation of the cases.

With the court’s ruling, all the seven cases pertaining to the Gyanvapi matter will now be heard simultaneously. This consolidation is expected to streamline the legal proceedings and provide a unified platform for presenting arguments and evidence from both sides.

The Gyanvapi dispute centers around the Gyanvapi Mosque complex in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, which is located adjacent to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The Hindu petitioners claim that the mosque was built upon the ruins of a Hindu temple. The case has been a subject of contention and legal battles for many years. The decision to hear all the cases together is aimed at facilitating a comprehensive examination of the evidence and arguments from all parties involved. It is anticipated that this consolidated hearing will contribute to a more efficient and expeditious resolution of the Gyanvapi dispute.
