A tragic collision occurred on the National Highway near Shahi Petrol Pump involving a high-speed Nova car and an Activa scooter, resulting in a horrifying accident. Providing details, A.S.I. Jaswir Singh informed that Parmjeet Singh, son of Gurdeep Singh from Bhaini Meelma (Gurdaspur), and Prem Singh, son of Sardar from Saidowal Khurd (Gurdaspur), who was riding the Activa scooter, met with a fatal accident when they climbed onto the National Highway to go to Mukerian after refueling at Shahi Petrol Pump.
A high-speed Nova car, driven by Balvir Singh alias Ballu, son of Surjeet Singh from Jhingar, collided with them. Both riders on the Activa scooter lost their lives on the spot, and the driver of the Nova car fled the scene. Providing further information, the station in-charge stated that the bodies have been placed in the mortuary at Civil Hospital Dasuha. After conducting the post-mortem, the bodies will be handed over to the heirs. He added that based on the statements of the heirs, legal proceedings against the driver have been initiated.
