Tragic Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway collision claims 10 lives

A tragic road accident on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway near Nadiad town in Gujarat’s Kheda district resulted in the loss of at least 10 lives. Reports indicate that a car collided with a parked tanker on the expressway, leading to the fatalities. Superintendent of Police Rajesh Gadhvi stated that while eight individuals died at the scene, two others succumbed to their injuries after being taken to the hospital.

The incident occurred due to a technical fault with the tanker, causing it to be parked on the expressway. The collision with the car carrying 10 passengers resulted in immediate casualties and significant traffic disruptions along the 93-kilometer-long stretch of the expressway.

Authorities swiftly responded to the accident, with the civil administration working to retrieve the bodies from the vehicle and contact their relatives. Additionally, teams have been mobilized to ensure that the necessary legal procedures are carried out smoothly in the aftermath of the tragic accident.
