Traffic disrupted as landslide hits Jammu-Srinagar National Highway

Traffic movement was halted on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) today after a landslide struck the Gangroo area, prompting swift action from authorities.

Officials from the Traffic Department confirmed that vehicular movement was suspended following the landslide incident on the highway. Efforts are underway with the deployment of personnel and machinery to clear the road and restore normal traffic flow.

Commuters are advised to stay updated with the Traffic Control Room for further information regarding the status of the highway.

Despite this disruption, it was reported that traffic on the Kargil-Srinagar highway continues to operate smoothly without any interruptions.
