Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee has decided to lead an interfaith rally across Kolkata on Jan 22. It is the same day on which the Ram Temple will be inaugurated in Ayodhya.
The rally will be covering mosques, temples, churches, and gurdwaras along the way of rally.
In the press conference, she said, “I will do a rally on January 22. It will begin from Kali Mandir, where I will visit to offer prayers to Maa Kaali. Following that, we will hold an interfaith rally from Hazra to Park Circus Maidan and hold a meeting there. We will cover mosques, temples, churches, and gurdwaras along the way. Everybody is welcome to join the rally. On the same day, my party members will hold a rally in every block, in every district at 3pm.”
Further she added, “Many people have been asking me about various temples but I have nothing to say. I have always said Dhorma Jaar Jaar, Utsob Shobaar (Religion is personal, festival is universal) ”
However, on Jan 22, the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony will be taking place where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be installing the idol of Ram Lalla at the Ram temple. The ceremony is set to be held for seven days starting from Jan 16.
