Three-day National Film Festival in Panchkula from 23 February

This time a total of 663 films from 25 states of the country have been entered in the fifth Chitra Bharati Film Festival organized in Panchkula from 23 to 25 February to promote national thought through films. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s All India Publicity Chief Sunil Ambekar told in the Press Club Chandigarh on Sunday that out of these 663 films made in 25 languages of the country, 133 films will be screened in this three-day film festival. Cash prizes worth Rs 10 lakh will also be awarded to 29 films during the film festival. The films to be screened include 18 films from Haryana and 2 each from Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. These films will be shown in four special theaters set up at the Red Bishop Complex of Haryana Tourism in Panchkula. This theater will be specially prepared for the film festival. During the film festival, more than 400 students from universities and colleges

from all over the country interested in the field of film will be given detailed training in all the disciplines related to film technology in master classes running in two sessions per day.

He said that India has a long tradition of art, drama, music and dance, it is an integral part of our culture. Artists adopted this as a form of spiritual practice.
