A 25-year-old youth committed suicide by jumping in front of a train on the railway line connecting Ambala to Chandigarh. The body was lifted and placed in the hospital mortuary by the railway police. Meanwhile, after identification by the relatives, the deceased youth underwent a post-mortem, and the body was handed over to the family. The deceased was identified as Prakash, a resident of Khatik Mohalla. Railway Police Ghaggar Chowki in-charge ASI Gurjinder Singh stated that on Sunday morning around 10:30 AM, Prakash jumped in front of the train passing under the Bhankharpur Overbridge, resulting in his death due to multiple injuries from the impact.
Additionally, upon receiving information about the incident, the body fragments were lifted and placed in a civil hospital. Following a complaint from the family, under Section 174, the authorities handed over the body to the relatives. In another incident, an unidentified person committed suicide by coming in front of a train that was about to depart near Issapur Railway Crossing around 11 AM. The age of the deceased, who had no documents for identification, is above 50 years. Consequently, the body was placed in the hospital mortuary for further investigation.
