In a swift response to a video circulating online depicting a primary school teacher in an inebriated state while on duty, authorties in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district have suspended Dalair Singh, the teacher in question. The video, which gained traction on social media, showed Singh in a highly intoxicated state during his duty at a school in Dharidhar village of Chassana.
Expressing deep concern over the incident, the chief education officer of Reasi promptly ordered Singh’s suspension and initiated an inquiry into his conduct. The suspension is effective immediately, pending the outcome of the investigation.
“Pending inquiry into his conduct, Dalair Singh is placed under suspension with immediate effect in connection with a viral video,” stated an official, quoting the order. The suspended teacher has been directed to report to the deputy commissioner’s office in Reasi for further duties
