The domestic automaker Tata Motors is set to unveil its tech-rich Curvv EV in India shortly. With the launch imminent, the company has released an official teaser of the new model on YouTube.
The brief teaser video didn’t disclose many specifics about the vehicle. Nonetheless, the visuals displayed the overall silhouette, rear section, sloping roofline, and alloy wheels. The teaser also provided a glimpse of the materials that will be used in the Coupe-styled EV.
This is the same EV that was showcased at both AutoExpo 2023 and the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo. According to the official teaser, the forthcoming Curvv EV will enter the market with numerous trending features. It will boast connected DRLs at the rear, a full LED headlight setup, a shark fin antenna, diamond-cut stylish alloy wheels, and tasteful cladding on the sides.
The teaser did not provide any details about the interior. However, it is anticipated that the model will feature a Nexon-inspired illuminated multifunctional steering wheel, a minimalist interior, and a robust 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This unit will support all wireless car connectivity technologies, including Android, Apple, and Auto CarPlay.
Regarding the battery, the EV might be equipped with a 50kWh or larger battery setup, offering an impressive range of 400 to 450 kilometers on a single charge. The brand has yet to confirm if the Curvv will be available with an AWD option.
In terms of safety, the EV is expected to come with multiple airbags and ADAS, featuring an extensive list of autonomous features. Additionally, standard safety equipment will include parking sensors, a seat belt reminder, speed alert, emergency braking, and 360-degree cameras with dynamic guidelines and lane keep assist.
