Actress, film producer and model Tarina Patel has been awarded for her contribution to arts by Gujarati Pravasi in India. She is being called ‘The Indian face of Africa’ while representing the Gujarati and Indian community .
Tarina said, “I have always been an unofficial ambassador for India. It was an honour to be among the most celebrated Gujaratis from around the world. It is also a matter of great pleasure to have my work so highly regarded and recognized.”
She added, “I was a speaker on a panel titled ‘Gutsy Gujarati Women’. This was attended by some iconic women such as Anandiben Patel, the ex-Chief Minister of Gujarat; Smriti Irani and Priti Adani, wife of Gautam Adani.”
The programme was attended by people from 60 countries and the award was handed over by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. It was also attended by the state chief minister Bhupendra patel .
