Supreme Court issues notice to Election Commission

The Supreme Court issued notice to Election Commission on a petition filed against the deletion of 27 lakh names in Telangana and 19 lakh names in Andhra Pradesh. The petition was filed by software engineer Srinivas Kodli which states that the Election Commission’s method of identifying bogus voters and the software used to modify the voter list is not transparent. The SC issued a notice to the EC saying that this is a serious issue.
