SUKRITI AND PRAKRITI KAKKAR ON THEIR TRENDING SONG ‘SONHA LAGDA’

Sukriti Kakkar and Prakriti Kakkar, the twin singer duo spoke exclusively with The Sunday Guardian and told us about their song ‘Sonha Lagda’, lockdown experience and upcoming projects.

Sukriti Kakkar said, “As an artist, the most important thing for us is the reaction of the audience and that is what we work for. It is very exciting to get such a response from the fans for ‘Sonha Lagda’ and it feels amazing and overwhelming.” Prakriti added, “‘Sonha Lagda’ is trending, it is being acknowledged and the process of making the song and getting appreciation is all we want and what we work for”. Sukriti and Prakriti further spoke about the song, “This song has been one of our desi song, the style of the song is totally different and this song is not completely Punjabi. We have been looking forward to being a part of such a song and now it has happened. Sukhi came on the board due to which the song has got a whole new level and the appreciation has been more from North India.” 

The twin singers duo do not feel pressurised by any of their songs and here is what they had to say, “We both have done more than six to seven songs together and we just tell each other to take less pressure. We wait for the song to pick up among the audience and believe that even destiny plays an important role in our lives.” Talking about the lockdown experience, they said, “Lockdown has been a very interesting phase, everyone has had ups and downs. We both love spending self-time, we also did cooking as everyone else. We had a really good time. Our profession demands us to perform. We needed our time to live a lot and we got time for ourselves more.” Twin Duo’s song ‘Sonha Lagda’ is hitting the right chords.
