University Institute of Fashion Technology & Vocational Development, Panjab University organized a three-day National Skill Development Workshop on Fashion Styling and Makeup from 13 -15 September 2023 under the aegis of RUSA. This workshop attracted 61 participants from different departments of the University and Colleges.
Ms. Monika Dhiman, one of the resource persons, a budding Image Consultant and Soft Skills Trainer, shared her thoughts and perspective via an interactive session where She discussed the essentials of being successful in one’s pursuit. She emphasized that Appearance Management and Soft Skills are the key factors that determine the result of a person’s collective efforts. Many Activities during the session made it highly interactive and interesting.
Ms. Gurleen, A fashion stylist and a makeup artist demonstrated various techniques of applying makeup- how to select brushes, prepare the face for makeup, application of eyeshadow etc, were demonstrated and then practiced by the participants. She showcased a well-executed self-makeup routine that can highlight one’s best features while concealing imperfections, resulting in a more attractive and put-together appearance.
