Stones pelted on Aditya Thackrey’s car, Danve alleges “anti-social elements”

The Shiv Sanvaad Yatra organised on Tuesday was left in a chaos when stones were pelted on Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackrey’s car in Aurangabad. The alleged incident occurred when Thackeray’s program and Ramabai Ambedkar’s procession took place simultaneously. While  Aaditya Thackeray was carrying out the Shiv Sanvaad Yatra in Mahalgaon in Vaijapur, at the same time, the procession on Ramabai Ambedkar’s birth anniversary also started. Ramabai Ambedkar ,wife of BR Ambedkar had a major role in supporting BR. Ambedker in their fight for dalit rights.

Thackrey was accompanied by leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Council, Ambadas Danve who alleged that the stones were pelted by “anti-social” elements to disrupt the yatra and create a rift between those carrying out the procession and the Shiv Sena convoy. He further stated that after the police asked them to stop the DJ and the procession, the crowd went angry and started pelting stones at the convoy. The crowd was raising slogans in support of local MLA, Ramesh Bornare. In order to stop the escalating situation  Aaditya Thackeray gave the speech after coming down from the stage.

He apologised to the crowd for the inconvenience and said that if they want to, they can play the DJ and carry out the procession. He also reminded the crowd that Shiv Shakti and Bhim Shakti are together. Danve further alleged that while leaving, the crowd tried to stop Aaditya Thackeray’s car, but it was taken out safely by the security guards. The incident was recorded on camera and the video has since gone viral. It may be recalled that following the revolt by Eknath Shinde, the Shiv Sena broke into two camps. Later, the Election Commmission alloted ‘ShivSena – Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray’ as the party name for the Thackeray camp and ‘Balasahebanchi Shiv Sena’ (Balasaheb’s Shiv Sena) for the Shinde camp.
