State Minister sparks controversy over Ram Temple remarks in Hisar

During a program in Hisar, State Cabinet Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta made controversial remarks about demolishing the Ram temple worldwide. Shortly after, the video of his speech went viral on social media. Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta was present at the inauguration of the 67th National School Handball-19 (Boys and Girls) Championship 2023-24 at the Mahavir Stadium in Hisar.

While addressing the present athletes, coaches, and others, Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta mentioned that 1,000 years ago, India had King Prithviraj Chauhan. He defeated Mohammed Ghori 17 times but lost the 18th time due to some Jaychands. Mohammed Ghori won, and India became enslaved. Invaders like Huns, Kushans, Portuguese, and British arrived, and they plundered India’s wealth, culture, and heritage. He mentioned that in 1528, Babur arrived, and he destroyed the temples of Lord Rama, Krishna, and Shiva. For a while, India was enslaved and weak. India gained independence in 1947. Even then, India was not strong. But today, India is strong.
