The city’s maximum temperature has remained stable over the past few days. The night temperature is recorded around 13 degrees Celsius, while the daytime temperature is around 27 degrees Celsius. The Air Quality Index (AQI) has also improved, reaching the lower end of the moderate range. However, residents will have to wait a bit longer for better air quality.
Winter is gradually setting in, with people now starting to wear jackets and sweaters during the day. According to the Chandigarh Weather Center, on Monday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 27.4 degrees Celsius, slightly above normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 13.8 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal. The weather centre has forecasted cloud cover during the daytime on Tuesday, with a maximum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 13 degrees Celsius.
Over the next three to four days, a gradual decrease in the minimum temperature is expected, and it may reach around 12 degrees Celsius.
