A two-day national level workshop on capacity building for women and gender equity finished on Saturday in the Jammu and Kashmir district of Srinagar.
The workshop, conducted by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s Department of Higher Education in partnership with the Government College of Education in Srinagar, drew a large number of dignitaries, including professors, educationists, intellectuals, researchers, and students.
They emphasized the significant and beneficial role that women play in the development of society and the nation. The program emphasized how a lack of knowledge and basic understanding among women was leading to domestic abuse, prompting women to clamor for their rights, they claimed.
Experts also emphasized the importance of proper education for female children, particularly in remote places, so that they can play their future roles and society as a whole will be empowered.
