Speaker Praises Joint Government Efforts for Social Upliftment

Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta emphasised the joint efforts of the Central and State Governments in implementing various schemes aimed at uplifting the socio-economically disadvantaged sections of society. He highlighted the objective of integrating these marginalized groups into the mainstream society to foster their contribution towards the nation’s and the state’s development.

Speaking as the chief guest at a district-level event held to inaugurate the Prime Minister’s Social Upliftment and Employment-based Public Welfare (PM-Suraj) portal, Gupta reiterated the commitment of both governments towards the welfare and progress of the underprivileged. Municipal Corporation Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal and BJP District President Deepak Sharma also attended the event.

During the program, Gupta distributed loan sanction letters to beneficiaries of the National Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation Limited and National Safai Karmachari Finance and Development Corporation. Additionally, Ayushman cards were provided to sewer cleaning workers under the Namaste scheme.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address was telecast live at the event, where he inaugurated the PM-Suraj portal and interacted with beneficiaries of various welfare schemes aimed at the upliftment of marginalized communities.

Gupta praised the unwavering commitment of the Central Government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, towards the welfare and empowerment of disadvantaged sections of society.

He emphasised the government’s multifaceted approach, encompassing policies, programs, and initiatives to address socio-economic disparities hindering the progress of these communities. Gupta highlighted the government’s focus on educational reforms and employment opportunities to create an inclusive environment empowering individuals from all backgrounds.

Special emphasis, Gupta noted, has been placed on extending essential services and healthcare facilities to Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, and Denotified Tribes. He emphasized the government’s efforts in promoting social justice and inclusivity, aiming to create a nation where every citizen, regardless of their background, can actively participate in the country’s growth and development. The event was attended by several dignitaries including SDM Panchkula Gaurav Chauhan, City Magistrate Mannat Rana, Joint Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Simranjit Kaur, and other officials from concerned departments.

Their presence underscored the collective commitment towards the welfare and upliftment of marginalized communities.
