SONU SOOD TO BE BRAND AMBASSADOR OF DELHI’S ‘DESH KE MENTORS’ PROGRAMME

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced that the actor cum social activist Sonu Sood will be the brand ambassador of the Delhi government’s soon-to-be-launched ‘Desh Ke Mentors’ programmeExpressing happiness over roping in Sonu Sood into the endeavour, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, “We have worked very hard to transform the government schools of Delhi and now we want to make education a mass revolution. When youth across the country come aboard this educational revolution, no one will be able to stop India from becoming a global leader.”

Through this programme, students studying in government schools of Delhi government will be helped to find a ‘mentor’, who will help them realise their potential.

“Sonu Sood ji has agreed to become the brand ambassador of our ‘Desh Ke Mentors’ program which will be launched soon,” said Kejriwal while addressing a joint press conference with the actor.

“We are delighted to have onboard Sonu Sood, who has inspired lakhs of youth across the country with his selfless service to the nation,” he added.

Talking about the ‘Desh Ke Mentors’ program, Kejriwal said, “We discussed about the children who study in government schools are mostly poor, and are passionate about their dreams, they do not know. where to go; we want some people to come forward and mentor such children.”

“We have worked very hard to transform Delhi’s government schools. Now we want to make education a people’s revolution.” Kejriwal added.

After becoming the key face of the ‘Desh Ke Mentor’ initiative, Sonu Sood has appealed to the people across the country to come forward and support the education of children and take the country towards brighter prospects.

Sonu Sood said that he was “impressed” by the historic change in the government schools of Delhi in the last few years.

“High-quality education for all children, whether rich or poor, is the key to the bright future of the country. We need to come together and do our part for nation-building. I urge the youth of India to be a part of the ‘Desh Ke Mentors’ programme,” said the actor.
