Snag hit SpiceJet flight; make flyers wait for 8 hours, then cancels flight

A snag was detected in a SpiceJet flight that took off from Pune Airport on Thursday and later was canceled.

Meanwhile, the SpiceJet flight which was going from Pune to Ahmedabad on Thursday and left 20 flyers fuming.

Even after waiting for 8 hours and 30 minutes, the flight was canceled. Moreover, all the passengers of the flight slept at Pune Airport Terminal.

One of the passengers said, “The airline’s ground staff told us that the flight was delayed by four hours due to technical reasons and would depart at 12:30 am. Around midnight, they said the aircraft would take off around 3:30 am, which soon became 4:30 am.”

“Earlier, the flight’s scheduled departure was revised, and passengers were duly informed beforehand at 4.35 pm so that they could plan their travel to the airport accordingly. A majority of passengers were accommodated on alternative flights on Thursday, while some opted for a full refund,” a SpiceJet spokesperson said.

However, Pune to Ahmedabad flight (SG-1078) was scheduled at 8 pm from Pune but took off at 4:30 am and returned in 10 mins as a snag forced the airline to cancel the flight.
