Sindhi Camp restroom fee scandal calls for investigation

The illegal collection of fees in the restroom at Tendor Base in Sindhi Camp is still ongoing. Women are still being charged Rs 10 in the restroom. Surprisingly, all the information about this collection goes to the Chief Manager. Following the exposure of this news, Suresh Soni, the Chairman of Jan Samasya Nivaran Manch, and Suman Sharma, former Chairperson of the Rajasthan Women’s Commission, have made their statements.
Suman Sharma, Former Chairperson of the Rajasthan Women’s Commission, said, “It is quite wrong. Action should be taken against the Sindhi Camp Depot in-charge in this matter. If employees are not providing receipts even when requested, it means that officials are also involved in this malpractice. On one hand, the government talks about the safety of women’s rights, and on the other hand, they remain silent about being extorted illegally. Think carefully; Sindhi Camp is a place where people come from far and wide.
In such a scenario, this kind of extortion is wrong. Responsible officials should be dealt with severely in this matter.”
Suresh Soni, Chairman of Jan Samasya Nivaran Manch, said, “This is a surprising matter. If people are being extorted like this at the initial stage, no government scheme will benefit. Thousands of pilgrims coming to Sindhi Camp are unaware of this fact, and officials sitting at the top are taking advantage of it. I believe that action should be taken against such individuals as soon as possible. We will also talk to the Depot in charge about this.”
It should be noted that the tender is withdrawn if there are more than three complaints against such restrooms. However, the current situation at Sindhi Camp is that, despite several complaints, the malpractice continues.
