Maharashtra’s Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, embraced the spirit of the ongoing 10-day Ganesh festival by paying a visit to the residence of Raj Thackeray, the President of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), in Dadar, central Mumbai. The festival, celebrated with immense fervor, commenced on Tuesday and is widely observed throughout Maharashtra and other regions of the country.
CM Shinde, expressing his reverence for Lord Ganesh, shared his visit to ‘Shivtirth,’ Raj Thackeray’s home, through a post on his social media account. He was warmly greeted at the residence by Raj Thackeray, his family members, and prominent leaders from the MNS.
In recent times, with the entry of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar and eight of his party’s MLAs into the Shinde-led government on July 2, Raj Thackeray has voiced concerns and criticisms about the prevailing political configuration. This configuration encompasses the Shiv Sena, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the NCP, who now collectively wield power in the state.
