Shah reiterates ‘Uniform Civil Code’ Promise, Sharpens Attack On Congress

On the last day of campaigning, Congress and the ruling party BJP made the most efforts to woo voters. The leading faces of Politics are in Himachal today, Be it Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, or Congress’s Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing an election rally in Palampur, said that as soon as the BJP government would be formed in Himachal, the Uniform Civil Code will be implemented in the entire state. Addressing an election rally in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that earlier no one believed that Article 370 could be removed from Jammu and Kashmir. Today, Kashmir is an integral part of India. Along with this, he said that the girls up to class 12th would be given scooty so that they can go to school and college and take their parents for a walk.
Amit Shah, while addressing a public meeting in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, targeted the Congress fiercely. He said that there is no place for hardworking youth who worked hard from scratch. To move forward, one has to be born in the house of a king and queen, it is necessary to be a prince.
While addressing the election rally, he said that in BJP the Prime Minister is Narendra Modi, and JP Nadda is the President, Whereas in Congress there is only a mother and son.
On the other hand, Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi addressed an election rally at Sataun in Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday. She stated that Himachal is in debt of 70 thousand crores. The people of himachal had worked hard to educate their children so that their future could be made. But 15 lakh youth out of 30 lakh are lying unemployed in the state. 63,000 government posts are lying vacant for five years. Because the intention of the BJP government is not right. OPS has been implemented in Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan will be implemented in Himachal also.
Priyanka said further that BJP leaders say that there is no money for this. Priyanka asked from where lakhs of crores of rupees come to waive off the loans of industrialist friends of the BJP. This government has taken away employment, and pensions and has increased inflation. GST is levied on apple cartons.
The Polling day is on 12 November. According to the Election Commission, there are 55 lakh voters in the state, in which 27 lakh 80 thousand men and 27 lakh 27 thousand women will participate. The number of employees involved in the election will be 67 thousand 532. Apart from this, there are 1.22 lakh voters above the age of 80 years.
There are 1184 voters in the state, whose age is more than 100 years. Election Commission chief Rajiv Kumar told that elections will be held in one phase in Himachal Pradesh. He had told that every polling station will be on the ground floor only.
