Security fortified across Kashmir in anticipation of Republic Day celebrations

In anticipation of the upcoming Republic Day celebrations, security measures have been significantly bolstered across Kashmir, with authorities implementing a comprehensive plan to ensure the smooth conduct of events and to safeguard against potential security threats.
Collaborating officials from the security establishment have deployed additional personnel, particularly focusing on fortifying key areas, including the venue for the main Republic Day function. The heightened security presence aims at maintaining law and order, preventing untoward incidents, and ensuring the safety of the people during the national celebrations.
The security arrangements encompass multiple layers, with a particular focus on vital installations, crowded areas, and sensitive locations. Stringent checks and surveillance measures have been implemented to monitor and control the movement of people and vehicles.

Strategic deployment includes paramilitary personnel, police forces, and specialized units equipped to handle any contingencies. Checkpoints have been established at key entry points, where security personnel are conducting thorough inspections as part of the security drill.

In addition to ground-level measures, technological advancements are being utilized to enhance surveillance capabilities. The installation of CCTV cameras in public spaces and activation of the intelligence network provide real-time information to respond swiftly to potential threats.

Authorities have urged the public to cooperate with security personnel, follow designated routes, and adhere to prescribed security protocols during the Republic Day celebrations. Emphasizing the importance of vigilance, citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious activities promptly. The heightened security measures align with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) adopted for major national events, demonstrating the commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the citizens during the Republic Day festivities.
