Security forces prevent infiltration at LoC

In a swift and decisive operation, our brave security forces have successfully foiled another infiltration attempt by terrorists at the Line of Control (LoC) in the Jumagund sector of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district. The operation is currently ongoing, with one terrorist confirmed neutralised. According to credible sources, this operation was launched following specific intelligence input regarding terrorist movements in the area. This marks the second infiltration attempt across the LoC in this region. Earlier, on 26 October 2023, the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police jointly thwarted a major infiltration on the LoC in Kupwara, eliminating five terrorists and recovering a cache of war-like stores from the encounter spot.
