A regular bail has been granted by the Supreme Court to Khushi Dubey, widow of Amar Dubey who is a relative of the slain gangster. The bail has been granted by a bench of Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud who said at the time of the commission of the offense Khushi Dubey was 16-17 years. Khushi Dubey’s senior advocate Vivek Tankha when Khushi Dubey committed the offense she was a minor. Earlier the bail plea of Khushi Dubey was opposed by the Uttar Pradesh government. However, in July 2020 in Kanpur Village Khushi Dubey was arrested when Vikas Dubey killed eight policemen who had gone to arrest Vikas Dubey.
