SBI cricket tournament: Mohali module triumphs in thrilling finale

The vibrant Sec 16 Cricket Stadium in Chandigarh played host to the commencement of the two-day SBIOA Chandigarh Circle cricket tournament today. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of General Secretary, All India State Bank Officers’ Federation, Sh. Deepak Sharma, and the Chief General Manager of SBI Chandigarh Circle, Sh. Vinod Jaiswal, who served as the chief guest.

In a ceremony attended by the President of SBIOA, Priyvrat, General Secretary Sanjay Sharma, and CDO Kajal Bhowmik, amongst others, the program kicked off amid the gathering of officers and their family members in large numbers, all eager to witness the thrilling matches.

This tournament, featuring the SBIOA Inter-network Women’s cricket cup and SBIOA Inter-module Men’s cricket cup, has drawn participation from 10 teams. These teams, representing officers from various modules of SBI across J&K, Himachal, Haryana, Punjab, Ladakh, and Chandigarh, promise a display of skill and sportsmanship.
The Women’s cricket trophy was clinched by the SBI Local Head Office, and the Men’s trophy was clinched by Mohali Module. In the Men’s cricket cup final, set for a day-night match, Mohali Module beat LHO IX by 5 wickets.
