KHAJUWALA: At Government Senior Secondary School Makari, villagers have initiated a protest by locking down the school, demanding the filling of vacant teaching positions in the school. The lack of teachers in the school is affecting the children’s education. So far, 23 teaching positions have been approved, and approximately 18 teaching positions have been vacant for a long time. The Education Department and the administration have been made aware of the situation by the villagers, but no solution has been provided, to date. Finally, yesterday, villagers initiated an indefinite lockdown protest at the school.
