Rozgar Mela’s 12th tranche: Appointment letters distributed at IISR, Mohali

In a significant move towards fulfilling the commitment of the Prime Minister, the 12th tranche of the Rozgar Mela was conducted today at 47 locations across the country. The event, hosted via video conferencing at the Indian Institute of Science and Research (IISR) in Mohali, witnessed the Chief Guest, Ajay Bhatt, Hon’ble MoS Defence and Tourism, Govt. of India, addressing the gathering.

The Rozgar Mela, launched virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, served as a platform to connect with the youth and congratulate individuals appointed through live telecast. Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, IPS, Special DG BSF Western Command, shed light on the border’s sensitivity under the Western Command and the role of BSF in aiding civil authorities.

Ajay Bhatt handed over physical copies of Offer of Appointment letters to 306 candidates from Chandigarh and adjoining areas, selected for various posts in Delhi Police, EPFO, Indian Railways, Indian Postal Services, CRPF, SSB, etc. The distribution of appointment letters was done both physically and through virtual mode.

Addressing the gathering, Ajay Bhatt reiterated the Prime Minister’s commitment to providing ten lakhs jobs in the government sector to the youth. He emphasized the pivotal role the new recruits would play in propelling India forward towards a promising future. Bhatt also highlighted the recruitment drive launched by Central Ministries and departments to fill existing vacancies against sanctioned posts through recruitment agencies like UPSC, SSC, Railway Recruitment Board, etc.

The event saw the distribution of more than one lakh appointment letters to newly inducted recruits in government departments and organizations via video conferencing. The Prime Minister, in a heartfelt message, congratulated the new recruits and their families. He underlined the government’s dedication to employment generation through regular organization of Rozgar Melas, ensuring more families will secure government jobs in the future.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that Rozgar Melas have become a hallmark of the current government, symbolizing its commitment to providing 10 lakh government jobs. He conveyed his vision for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ and highlighted the significance of Rozgar Mela in providing meaningful opportunities for youth employment and participation in national development.
