Roles shuffled among senior IAS officers deployed in CMO Haryana

The Haryana government has come with a decision to issue orders of re-distribution of work among the senior officials deployed in the Chief Minister Office (CMO). DS Dhesi retired IAS and Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister (CPSCM) has been assigned the responsibility of 11 departments which are of utmost importance. He holds the portfolio of Overall Incharge of CM office. He will bear the responsibility of looking after all matters relating to Legislative Business including legislative proposals taken before Council of Ministers and issue of ordination Parliamentary Affairs, Law and Legislative. Citizen Resource Information, Excise, and Taxation, Irrigation, General Administration, Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Training, Hospitality and Vigilance. Apart from aforesaid, he also has been assigned the responsibility of Home, Criminal Investigation and Administration of Justice, Jails, Town and Country Planning & Urban Estates, Urban Local Bodies, Foreign Corporation and Industries. Thus, it is clearly evident that he has a string of significant departments to take care of.

In continuation to this, V Umashankar, the Principal Secretary to CM, has been assigned the responsibility of 18 departments which is higher than any other official deployed in CMO and the list includes Finance, Institutional Finance, and Credit Control and Planning, Agriculture, Labour Employment, Renewable Energy, Revenue Rehabilitation and Consolidation, Science and Technology, Power, Cooperation, Transport, Mines and Geology, Civil Aviation, Electronics Information Technology, Tourism, Skill Development & Industrial Training, Social Justice and Empowerment and Welfare of SC’s and ST’s.

While Yogender Chaudhary who holds the portfolio of Advisor, Resource Mobilization in CM’s office has been assigned the responsibility of Art & Cultural Affairs, Project Director of Drug-Free Haryana Mission and National Rural Livelihood Mission, Apart from the above mentioned, he will also look after the matter relating to Resources Mobilisation (Except FD) and Youth Empowerment. Neeraj Daftuar, PSOD to CM, and Bhupeshwar Dayan have been given the responsibility of Public Relations and Grievance CM Window respectively. In this series, Sudhanshu Gautam, an HCS official and OSD to CM, will take several significant departments and wings namely CM announcements, CM Relief Fund, HRDF and other sanctions, HRMS AND Online Transfer Policy and Allotment of Government Houses (except Type five, Panchkula).
