Robbery unveiled: Two arrested, 18,000 cash recovered

Crime Branch Sector 26 police have arrested two accused in a snatching incident case. The arrested individuals have been identified as Harmeet Singh, alias Meet, son of Sukhdev, a resident of village Mamianpur Laldu, district Mohali, Punjab, and Ravindra Singh, alias Babbu, son of Karmchand, a resident of Ramlila Ground, village Bhabhat, Mohali. Providing information, ACP Crime Arvind Kamboj stated that both teams of Crime Branch Sector 26 and Crime Branch Sector 19 solved the crime within about 48 hours with the help of an immediate raid, CCTV footage, and other technical assistance. They apprehended the two suspects in Laldu, who were then presented in court and interrogated after being taken into police custody for two days. The police recovered Rs 18,000 in cash and other documents from the accused. The search for the third suspect in the incident is still ongoing.
ACP Crime mentioned that the snatching incident occurred in front of the police lines on February 13, 2024. Three unknown individuals snatched Rs 18,000 in cash, a mobile phone, car keys, and other bank documents and cards from a vehicle. The joint operation conducted by Crime Units Sector 26 and Sector 19 brought the incident to light. Deputy Inspector from Crime Branch Sector 26, Maagen Ram, led the team, which included PSI Sukhbir Singh, ASI Vinod Kumar, ASI Dhani Ram, ASI Jagpal Singh, and Chief Constable Pravesh Kumar. They disclosed the incident of snatching and apprehended two suspects from Laldu.
The victim, Kuldeep Singh, son of Kehar Singh, a resident of village Jalbeda, Ambala, filed a complaint, stating that he works in mobile and property services in Ambala Cantt. On February 13, while he was alone in the evening, driving towards Majri Chowk in a Skoda car, a vehicle with a temporary number began following him. When the vehicle reached in front of the police line, the person in the vehicle asked him to stop.
