Former Union Minister and RJD leader Sharad Yadav’s last rites will be performed at his ancestral village in Narmadapuram district, Madhya Pradesh, on Saturday, and his mortal remains have been brought to Bhopal.

Meanwhile, the last rites will be performed by Sharad Pawar’s son, Shantanu Bundela.
Former Janata Dal (United) Madhya Pradesh unit head Govind Yadav, a close friend of Sharad Yadav, said, “The mortal remains of Yadav will be brought from Delhi to Madhya Pradesh by a chartered plane at 11 a.m. and taken to his ancestral village of Ankhmau by road. The last rites will be at 1:30 p.m.”
Earlier on Thursday night, Sharad Yadav passed away at the age of 75 at the Fortis hospital in Gurugram.
Taking to Twitter, his daughter Subhashini Yadav tweeted, “Papa nhi rahe (Papa is no more).”
However, in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government between 1999 and 2004, Yadav held various portfolios.
