Rani Mukherji’s upcoming movie Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway is all set to release on 17 March. The trailer of the movie was launched on 23 February and already created a lot of buzz around the nation. It is a movie which is based on the real life story of an Indian woman standing up the Norwegian authorities to reunite with her children.

The movie is based on Sagarika Chatterjee who fought for her kids and her story inspired the film. It is a story inspired from true life incidents of Sagarika Bhattacharya and her husband Anurup Bhattacharya. The couple’s life was turned upside down when the Child Welfare Services (CWS) took their kids on the ground of “neglect and emotional disconnect”. The children were to remain in custody until they turned 18.
The authorities objected to the fact that she fed them by hand, which they felt was force-feeding. The two were also accused of providing their kids ‘unsuitable’ clothes and failing to give them enough room to play.
