Rajasthan BSP faces exodus as candidates flock to Congress, BJP

In the Rajasthan Assembly elections, the main contest is generally between the Congress and the BJP. However, the BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party) and RLP (Rashtriya Loktantrik Party) are trying to make it a triangular contest. BSP is trying to play the kingmaker, but water is being poured on the aspirations that Mayawati is dreaming of through the soldiers she relied on. The leaders that BSP expressed confidence in, choosing the path of ‘walking alone,’ are now facing the Congress and BJP even before voting. However, of the 9 candidates leaving BSP, 6 have started supporting the Congress. At the same time, 3 BSP candidates have decided to support the BJP. In this way, how will Mayawati become the kingmaker?
Eastern Rajasthan is considered the stronghold of BSP, where BSP is successful in winning seats every time, making it a significant force. However, this time the candidates from this area are not confident about their victory. So far, BSP candidates in 9 Assembly constituencies, including Civil Lines, Hawa Mahal, Adarsh Nagar, Jaisalmer, Pokaran, and Sirohi, have given a setback to the party.
Although the Bahujan Samaj Party fights every election with full vigour, its MLAs do not stick with the party after winning. In 2018, the party not only fought the elections but also won 6 seats, reaching the assembly. However, after winning, all the party MLAs joined Congress. In 2008 too, something similar was seen when six MLAs of BSP joined Congress after winning.
BSP is the third-largest party in Rajasthan, but party officials seem to fail in internal coordination.
