On Sunday morning, a dense fog enveloped various parts of the state, intensifying the ongoing cold wave. Fatehpur and Sikar experienced a bone-chilling minimum temperature of 4.2 degrees Celsius. The weather department forecasts a potential 2 to 3-degree temperature drop across Rajasthan in the next 48 hours. During this period, fog is expected to shroud the western and northern districts, causing visibility to reduce significantly to 200 to 400 meters in areas including Jaipur, Hanumangarh, Sri Ganganagar, Jodhpur, Bikaner, and Sikar.
The Jaipur Meteorological Center indicates a consistent trend of decreasing temperatures in the state. On Saturday night, the minimum temperatures recorded were 5.2 degrees Celsius in Alwar, 6.5 in Pilani, 7.1 in Sirohi, 7.3 in Churu, 7.5 in Sikar, 7.7 in Baran, and 7.9 degrees Celsius in Karauli. According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, dry weather is anticipated in the state for the next 7 days, starting from Sunday. This is likely to result in a temperature decrease of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius. However, there’s a possibility of an active western disturbance reemerging in the state on December 31st.
