Railway Minister reaffirms no return of Article 370

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on his Jaipur visit that statements are being made by opposition parties regarding Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. During a one-day visit to Jaipur, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav addressed concerns surrounding the potential re-implementation of Article 370, stating emphatically, «No matter how much confusion the opposition spreads, Article 370 will not be implemented again.» The minister›s remarks come amid ongoing political debates, aiming to reassure party members and the public of the government›s stance on key issues.
He said that this section was a temporary arrangement, which has ended completely. There is no chance of it being implemented again. Regarding Congress leader Rahul Gandhi›s comments on reservation, Ashwini Vaishnav stated that once the wooden pot has been set on fire, it won›t be lit again and again. He criticized Congress for creating confusion around reservation, asserting that the public will not be misled this time. The party›s falsehoods will no longer be effective.
Vaishnav met with BJP workers at a party program, where he criticized the Congress party for its past actions and reiterated the government›s commitment to national unity and development. His visit included discussions on party strategies and upcoming initiatives aimed at strengthening the BJP›s presence in the region. On the discrimination against Rajasthan in the railway sector during the previous Congress government, Vaishnav said that the state did not get what it should have got. During Congress rule, Rs 682 crore was given in the railway budget.
Today, the Prime Minister is giving Rs 9960 crore for the development of railways. The opposition should remember how discrimination was done. The electrification that has taken place in the last 10 years is 18 times more than the Congress government. During this period, the Modi government has added 5 thousand 300 kilometers of tracks in a year. There are 85 railway stations in the state, which are being prepared in a new way.
Vaishnav said that the work we are doing is strong and solid. We are not doing a paint job like the Congress.
During the program, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav addressed party workers, emphasizing his approachability by stating, «I am not a minister, but your Ashwini Bhai.» He held a public hearing-style session, spending half an hour on stage meeting and listening to the concerns of each worker. Vaishnav encouraged them to actively participate in the membership campaign, urging them to visit every village and community to recruit new members and explain the differences between the UPA and Modi government’s contributions to Rajasthan.
Prior to this event, Vaishnav also met with Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma in a courtesy visit. The two leaders discussed strategies to enhance the railway network in Rajasthan, focusing on improving connections between Jaipur and other states. Vaishnav assured the Chief Minister that any railway-related demands from the state government would be prioritized by the central government.
