RADHIKA APTE IN SCI-FI COMEDY SERIES ‘OK COMPUTER’

MUMBAI: Radhika Apte, Jackie Shroff, Vijay Varma, and Rasika Dugal will be seen in the sci-fi comedy web series ‘OK Computer’. It deals with AI and asks whether AI can become a bane instead of a boon for humans in the near future. The six-episode web series showcases 2031 where Homo-Sapiens deal with the Robo-Sapiens. Disney+ Hotstar dropped the trailer with a tweet, “Kitna hi control kar loge future ko jab future hi aapko control karne waala hai? Watch the trailer now.” The trailer opens in 2031 Goa where a self-driving taxi named NKHL crashes into a human pedestrian. The cyber cell agent Hari Kundu thinks that it is attempted murder, while Laksmi who is the head of a private organisation called PETER believes that AI is incapable of harming humans. The ensuing chaos then includes Mickey Mouse as a possible suspect, and a hippie Pushpak Shakur, the boss for whom being under arrest is a psychological and not a physical state of being. It focuses on the dark comedy around solving the philosophical puzzle of who is to blame. Anand Gandhi, who has co-written and produced the series, said: “‘OK Computer’ is an attempt to imagine a world of our near-future together and laugh out loud. The show asks: If AI commits a crime, who should be culpable? It asks this question with madcap humour, zany characters and a rollercoaster epic story.” It has been directed by Pooja Shetty and Neil Pagedar.
