A day after a bombshell was found near Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann’s residence and the Haryana CM’s helipad, slogans of ‘Khalistan Zindabad’ were painted on the boundary walls of SSP Upinderjit Singh Ghuman’s office in Sri Muktsar Sahib, Punjab, on Tuesday.
The Punjab police erased the slogans as soon as they were found. CCTV footage is also being scanned to nab the miscreants.
Though a Red Corner Notice has already been issued against Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, such activities are picking up momentum in the state now.
Taking responsibility, Pannu called the incident of the bombshell discovery outside the house of the Chief Minister of Punjab part of Khalistani propaganda. Claiming that the Khalistani movement is gaining momentum in Punjab, Pannu said that bombs are being made in every house. He also mentioned the political assassination of Indira-Rajiv in 1984-1991.
As the Bharat Jodo Yatra gears to enter Punjab on 11 January, Pannu warned Rahul and said that Khalistani supporters will stop Rahul Gandhi from entering Punjab.
The Daily Guardian spoke to Congress Senior Leader Sukhpal Khaira regarding the series of events happening in the state. Khaira said, “There is a design being created in Punjab to thwart the Bharat Jodo Yatra of Rahul Gandhi.
He added that this is a combined effort of the Bhagwant Mann-led AAP government, intelligence agencies, and the BJP.”
