Punjab police seized Amritpal Singh’s vehicle and ammunition

Amritpal Singh, the leader of “Waris Punjab De,” used a car to flee, and the Punjab Police confiscated it on Sunday along with a number of other cars and weapons. According to the police, seven aides of Amritpal Singh have been arrested so far, and efforts are under way to nab the pro-Khalistan leader as well. SSP Jalandhar Rural, Swarndeep Singh, said that the seized vehicle was found abandoned.

“One vehicle from Amritpal Singh’s escort has been taken into custody. In addition, one Kirpan and a weapon with a.315 bore and 57 live rounds were found inside. After use, the vehicle was abandoned, he claimed.

“Jalandhar and the state’s law and order situation are routine. The public’s protection is a priority for the police. Those who attempt to undermine the rule of law will face harsh punishment. Those who are discovered spreading rumors will face strict punishment, the SSP added.

Satinder Singh, SSP for Rural Amritsar, reaffirmed that steps had been made in relation to the Ajnala FIR. “We made this decision in light of the Ajnala FIR. Amritpal Singh left the area, but his seven assistants were taken into custody. An FIR under Arms Act has been filed against them and Amritpal Singh is the main accused in the FIR. They had six 12-bore firearms and ammunition that were found, all of which were prohibited. The suspects were apprehended yesterday from a location close to Mehatpur, he claimed.
