Pulwama police strikes hard against drug trade: Properties worth lakhs attached

In a relentless pursuit to eradicate the scourge of drug peddling, Pulwama Police took a decisive step by attaching properties worth lakhs belonging to notorious drug peddlers in the district. The attached assets include a double-storied residential house valued at approximately 20,97,291/-, owned by Fayaz Ahmad Rather, and two shops with a second-floor residential apartment valued at approximately 27,35,186/-, owned by Mohd Maqbool Bhat, alias Tola.

Both individuals, Fayaz Ahmad Rather and Mohd Maqbool Bhat, are currently in legal custody. The attachment of their properties follows a comprehensive investigation that identified these assets as being acquired through illicit drug trafficking activities. The stringent action underscores the commitment of J&K Police to combat activities that pose a threat to public safety and national security.

The attachment was executed in accordance with the due legal process outlined in FIR No. 301/2023 U/S 8/21-29 NDPS Act of PS Pulwama.
