On the call given by the Punjab and Chandigarh College Teachers Union (PCCTU ), the local Unit of DAV College Teachers’ Union held a silent and peaceful protest today in the college in support of Self-Financed Staff members who are still waiting for their 7th Pay Commission scales. It was passed in the Executive meeting that a silent protest will be held on 19th Oct. in Privately managed Govt aided Colleges of UT, Chandigarh. The union stands in solidarity with Un-aided staff members for the 7th Pay Scale, full salary for probationers, enhancement of salaries for Ad-hoc, expedite the process of CAS promotions, and resolution of past service benefits.
