Praveen Joshi, the newly appointed Chairperson of the Haryana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, formally assumed her role at the Commission’s office in Sector-6 on Tuesday. Joshi commenced her duties with the recitation of Vedic mantras and blessings from Mother Bhagwati. Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Kamlesh Dhanda, congratulated her over the phone upon assuming charge. Joshi expressed her intent to preside over the Commission’s meeting on Wednesday, where she plans to review its work and provide appropriate directions to officials.
During the occasion, Amneet P Kumar, Commissioner and Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department, along with Monica Malik, Secretary of the Haryana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, and other dignitaries were present.
The attendees included RS Dhillon, IAS, Palwal MLA Deepak Mangala, Rai MLA Mohan Lal Kaushik, Panchkula Mayor Kulbhushan Goel, Member of Haryana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Suman Rana, Honorary General Secretary of Haryana Child Welfare Council Ranjita Mehta, State Treasurer Varindra Garg, former Sugar Fed President Harpal Cheeka, State Vice President Banto Kataria, and BJP District President.
The event was attended by Joshi’s family members, close relatives, and other officials, including Deepak Sharma, General Secretary Paramjit Kaur, State co-media in-charge Sanjay Ahuja, and District media in-charge Naveen Garg.
