SUMERPUR: After nearly six decades, a pond restoration program is set to be organized in the Kalan village of Ahor Tehsil in Jalore district, Rajasthan. Rural residents, including Shiv Kumar, Arjun Singh, Roop Singh, Nilesh, Sohan Lal, Ramesh Singh, and Vajaram Devasi, have shared that this program is being conducted with the support of the Chhattisgarh community, and they are all actively preparing for it. On Thursday, they initiated the cleaning process using JCB machines along the pond’s edges. There is significant enthusiasm among the rural population regarding the pond restoration program. The event is scheduled to take place on September 11th, starting in the morning. It’s worth noting that, for the first time in a long while, the region has experienced good rainfall this year, resulting in the overflow of all the ponds and reservoirs in the area. This has brought much joy to the rural communities.
