Police Seize Illegal Liquor-Filled Container During Checkpoint

DHAULPUR: The Sadar police station in Dhaulpur district, during a routine checkpoint operation at night, apprehended a container filled with illegal liquor. This container was transporting liquor from Haryana to Gujarat. During the operation, the police confiscated 828 bottles of illegal liquor, estimated to be worth more than Rs 70 lakhs. Additionally, the driver of the container has been arrested. The police have registered a case in this regard. City SP Suresh Sankhla stated that they received information from an informant that a container was heading from Agra towards Morena, Madhya Pradesh, carrying illegal liquor. Acting on this tip-off, a checkpoint was set up at the Chowraha intersection. During the checkpoint operation, the container was stopped, and upon inspection, 828 bottles of illegal liquor were found inside the container. The container was apprehended, and the driver has been detained. An investigation has been initiated, with the role of SP Om Prakash Meena, Additional Superintendent of Police, taking the lead.
