Police inspector shot by terrorists in Srinagar’s Eidgah

In another attempt to disturb peace in Kashmir terrorists on Sunday, a police inspector was shot by terrorists near Eidgah in Srinagar. The injured, identified as Inspector Masroor Ahmad Wani, had been playing cricket with local children at the Eidgah ground when the attack occurred. Inspector Wani was rushed to a hospital for medical treatment, where the doctors reported that his condition was critical.
Security forces have promptly cordoned off the area where the incident took place, and a case has been registered in this matter. Initial reports indicate that the assailants used a pistol in the attack.

He was immediately shifted to the hospital for treatment. Preliminary investigation reveals that a pistol was used in this terror crime. The area is cordoned off, and a case has been registered.”
