PM Modi Unveils Transformational Projects Worth Over Rs 15,000 Crore During Ayodhya Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate a slew of development projects totalling more than Rs 15,000 crore during his historic visit to Ayodhya, reinforcing the government’s commitment to infrastructure advancement and heritage preservation. The Prime Minister will lay foundation stones, dedicate projects to the nation, and launch public programs aimed at improving the civic, cultural, and economic landscape of Ayodhya and beyond during his visit.

The ambitious schedule kicks off at 11:15 AM with the inauguration of the redeveloped Ayodhya Railway Station, accompanied by the launch of new Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat trains. Subsequently, at 12:15 PM, PM Modi will inaugurate the newly constructed Ayodhya Airport. The prime minister will then partake in a public program at 1 PM, where he is slated to inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, and lay the foundation stone for multiple projects valued at more than Rs 15,000 crore.

In a statement shared on social media platform X, PM Modi expressed the government’s commitment to fostering world-class infrastructure, enhancing connectivity, and preserving Ayodhya’s rich heritage. The projects encompass diverse sectors, with an emphasis on modernizing civic facilities, boosting tourism, and fostering economic growth.

The Ayodhya Airport, developed at a cost exceeding Rs 1450 crore in Phase 1, features a terminal building covering 6500 sqm and is equipped to serve approximately 10 lakh passengers annually. The building’s facade draws inspiration from the temple architecture of the upcoming Shri Ram Mandir, adorned with local art, paintings, and murals depicting the life of Lord Shri Ram. Sustainability features, such as insulated roofing, LED lighting, and rainwater harvesting, align the airport with environmental standards, aiming for a GRIHA 5-star rating.

The redeveloped Ayodhya Dham Railway Station, accomplished at a cost surpassing Rs 240 crore, stands as a three-storey modern marvel. Complete with lifts, escalators, food plazas, and green certifications, the station represents a significant leap in railway infrastructure.

The day’s events will witness PM Modi flagging off the Amrit Bharat Express, a new category of superfast passenger trains featuring non-air-conditioned coaches. Additionally, six new Vande Bharat trains will be inaugurated, further strengthening rail connectivity.

Multiple railway projects, valued at Rs 2300 crore, will also be dedicated to the nation, enhancing rail infrastructure in the region. These include the Rooma Chakeri-Chanderi third line project, sections of the Jaunpur-Ayodhya-Barabanki doubling project, and the doubling and electrification project of the Malhaur-Daliganj railway section.

Beyond rail development, the Prime Minister will inaugurate four newly redeveloped roads in Ayodhya, contributing to enhanced accessibility around the Shri Ram Mandir. A slew of other projects, including medical colleges, highways, sewage treatment plants, and beautification initiatives, are also part of the comprehensive plan for Ayodhya’s upliftment.

As PM Modi lays the foundation stones for new projects, Ayodhya is poised for a transformative phase that balances modernity with its rich cultural heritage. The greenfield township, NH-28 section, and CIPET center are among the ventures that symbolize the government’s vision for a resurgent Ayodhya. The visit is not only a celebration of infrastructure but also a testament to the government’s commitment to holistic development across Uttar Pradesh.
