An official statement said that PM Modi will probably spend twenty-five hours in Varanasi after being received by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel upon his arrival on Sunday afternoon. Modi will introduce the second iteration of Kashi Tamil Sangamam in the evening at Namo Ghat on the first day of his visit to Varanasi. He will launch the Kashi Tamil Sangamam Express, which will travel between Varanasi and Kanyakumari, at this event.
1,400 dignitaries from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will attend the Kashi Tamil Sangamam, which is scheduled from December 17–31. They will travel to Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Ayodhya, according to the statement. Apart from the cultural interchange, there will also be an exhibition featuring a diverse range of artwork, music, handlooms, handicrafts, food, and other unique products from Kashi and Tamil Nadu. According to the statement, the program will also include cultural events that showcase the distinctive customs of Tamil Nadu and Kashi.
Kashi Tamil Sangamam’s second edition will feature talks on Ayurveda, yoga, music, dance, drama, philosophy, literature, ancient texts, and spirituality. There will also be seminars on “next-generation technology, edutech, innovation, trade, and knowledge exchange.” Modi is set to take part in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra program at Barki Gram Sabha, located in the Sewapuri development block, on Monday. According to the release, he will also launch and lay the cornerstone for 37 projects in Varanasi and Purvanchal valued at Rs 19,155 crore.
