On Friday, PM Modi laid the cornerstone for three university buildings while attending the valedictory ceremony of the university’s centenary celebrations.
The Delhi University Computer Centre, the Faculty of Technology building, and the academic block that will be constructed on the university’s North Campus all had their foundation stones placed by the PM.
Along with PM Modi, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan attended Delhi University’s centenary celebrations. The Prime Minister visited Delhi University this morning, therefore earlier today he took the metro from Lok Kalyan Marg Metro Station to Vishwa Vidyalaya Metro Station in the nation’s capital.
On his way to the Delhi University centenary festivities, PM Modi was also seen mingling with passengers on the Delhi Metro.
On May 1st, 1922, the University of Delhi was established. With over 6 lakh students, 86 departments, 90 colleges, and significant growth over the past century, the university has made a significant contribution to the development of the country.
