PGIMER Horticulture Wing clinches ‘Champions Trophy’ for third straight year

In a remarkable achievement, the Horticulture Wing of the Engineering Department at PGIMER, Chandigarh, has once again brought honour to the institute by clinching the Champions Trophy at the 36th Spring Fest-Flower Festival, 2024. The event, organized by Haryana Shehari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) in Panchkula’s Town Park, Sector 5, witnessed the horticulture team under the banner of Director PGI showcasing their unparalleled talent.

This victory marks the third consecutive year that PGIMER’s horticulture wing has secured the Champion’s Trophy, affirming their consistent excellence in floral competitions. Under the diligent leadership of the Director PGI, the team’s participation showcased their commitment to maintaining the institute’s high standards.

The Engineering Department’s horticulture wing demonstrated exceptional skill, earning a total of 34 awards in various categories. Of these, an impressive 20 first prizes and 14 second prizes were secured in the Pot Section and cut flower section. This outstanding achievement underscores the hard work and dedication of the horticulture team, highlighting their prowess in creating captivating floral displays.

Notably, the horticulture wing had previously clinched the Top Position at the Rose Festival in Sector-16, Chandigarh, for the third consecutive year. This string of victories reflects the team’s unwavering dedication to excellence in horticulture and their ability to consistently impress both visitors and judges with their stunning creations.
