A five-day professional training on “Milk Production and Processing” was organized at the Agricultural Science Center in Panchkula, led by Dr. Sridevi, the Convenor of Agricultural Science Center under Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University.
The course, directed by Dr. Gurnam Singh, an agricultural economist from Krishi Vigyan Kendra, featured various speakers providing comprehensive information on their respective subjects. Dr. Surendra Yadav, Deputy Director of the Agriculture Department, shared insights into the department’s schemes. Veterinarians from the Animal Husbandry Department were also present, offering detailed information on factors influencing milk production, including milk quality and value-added products. Dr. Sridevi, the convener of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, encouraged participants to leverage such training to enhance their livelihood opportunities by initiating small businesses at the village level.
